Preparation of Regional Master Plans for Water and Wastewater in Western Region of Republic of Bulgaria

The project is implemented by a Project Consortium, incorporating NIRAS A/S Denmark, Rambøll Danmark A/S, NIRAS-Bulgaria, Cooperation "Sofia Consulting Group", DHI and Aquapartner. The Consortium is led by NIRAS.
The project is implemented in compliance with the requirements of the Terms of Reference for the Project under the Contract for: MIDP-MP-QCBS3, Loan No: 7834_BG – Municipal Infrastructure Development Project, Preparation of Regional Master Plans for Water and Wastewater in the Western Region of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The commencement date for activities under this Contract is 22nd December 2011 with a duration of 18 months.
The main results, achieved by the expert team of Cooperation "Sofia Consulting Group", encompass the preparation of financial and economic analyses, the development of Master Plans for the target cities for development of the water sector, including the development of forecasts for various time horizons; preparation of a financial and institutional analysis for each of the ViK utilities, including programs for increasing their financial and operational capacity; presentation and discussion of the results from the analyses and the reports with the stakeholders (namely, the representatives of the municipal and local authorities).
